Since the early 1990s, nanobubbles have been the subject of extensive research in Japan. Scientists have explored the remarkable properties of these tiny bubbles, uncovering their unique characteristics and potential applications. As a result of these studies, nanobubbles have been successfully tested and implemented across a wide range of industries, demonstrating their versatility and effectiveness in various fields.
Gaia products generate nanobubbles with gas being introduced at very low pressure, creating extreme flexibility and low operation costs. Gaia products are an excellent, adaptable, and cost-effective solution for low to high-volume applications that benefit from nanobubble properties.
Ultra-fine bubble science
In small bubbles, the internal gas pressure is higher than in larger bubbles, resulting in greater surface tension. Consequently, the gas within small bubbles dissolves more rapidly compared to that in larger bubbles.
Additionally, small bubbles ascend to the water’s surface at a slower rate than larger bubbles. This extended duration enhances the efficiency of gas transfer from the bubble to the liquid.
Small bubbles are less prone to coalescence than larger ones, which is advantageous because larger bubbles rise more quickly to the surface, reducing the time available for gas transfer.
